The body has a laminate spruce top with laminate maple back and sides, a 3-piece maple/beech/maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard broken up by the strip type fingerboard markers. The headstock is pure Hofner, with its standard mother of pearl inlay and bold Hofner maker's name. Machine heads are Hofner's usual good quality, open geared, units. The action is great with no dead spots or fretting out and a comfortable thinner D shape profile neck. Its certainly one of the easiest to play Hofners I have had through and the two original pickups sound great.Hofner's ebony slotted bridge is fitted to this guitar, as fitted on the early Verithins (1960-63). The label has been lost from the inside of this guitar and the heel cap has been stabilised with super glue.
Otherwise, this is as original a player's guitar as you'll find. The item "1962 Hofner Verithin, excellent condition, plays perfectly, nearly all original" is in sale since Friday, August 30, 2019.
