This has been in my collection for about 25 to 30 years. The helmet/liner has been kept in a covered display case.

The helmet is in excellent condition. Rare to find this helmet in near new condition.

The 1917 A1 helmet was used at Wake Island before changing the design to the WW II M1 helmet. Helmets Steel Shell 1917 A1 Color Olive drab with particles of cork, which give the helmet a coarse appearance. Steel Pot Original Paint About 99% Inside Helmet Number I cant decide for sure what the number is. You decide with the close-up pictures. The pad is still attached Dents None Net None Condition Excellent for its age. You will look a long time to find a 1917 A1 in this condition.
