GORGEOUS Antique 1880s Silk & Velvet Bustle Gown Excellent Condition Must see
For offer I have a lovely antique silk bustle gown. This gown has the unusual "mutton" sleeves which were fashionable only for a short period in the 1880s. The gown is made of a soft, peach colored silk fabric, in great condition for the age! The gown has lace on the tops of the shoulders, cuffs at the wrists, and lovely velvet adornments on the bodice.
Interior is lined and boned and nice condition. Measures approximately 34 inches at the bust, and 26 inch bodice waist. Skirt measures 26 inch waist, 39 front length and longer in the back with the train. Silk is soft and supple with no exterior shatter. There are a few small holes on the bodice and the skirt, minimal and not noticed.
A bit of soiling on the cuffs. The skirt had a small bit of shatter beginning on the interior raw edged lower portion of the hem, not noticeable and not even sure why that interior hem is there?
