Antique Louis Amberg Composition IT Twist waist Doll c. 1920s EXCELLENT Shape

  
This absolutely gorgeous doll has been properly properly cared for and displayed over the years which is evident in her beautiful condition! She has only has 2 previous owners within the same family. She is almost 14" tall and was advertised in the "Playthings" magazine as "IT-The Crashing Smashing Hit-The DOLL with a BODY TWIST all, all its own! " I believe she may have also been called "Sue in some subsequent marketing campaigns. Her coloring and original facial painting is really outstanding and almost pristine. Her brown eyes are beautifully painted with the shading and long delicate upper lashes still intact and not faded or rubbed away. She has all of her fingers and toes and is an adorable doll to pose with her twist-waist body! This doll was spared the "crashing and smashing" and only has a few bumps which are pretty minor.

The back of her head has an abraded area and a few dark marks. Her legs have a few very tight craze lines which have been there for decades- overall, the composition everywhere is in extremely fine condition. She has a teeny bit of white paint missing from her left eye. These are the "flaws" on this doll from the late 1920s, and I try to be critical.

She is wearing a vintage, era-appropriate dress and socks, a vintage "one-sie", and reproduction patent shoes. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, or to let me know if I have left something out that is important to you.
