Blatz Beer Original Delivery Uniform Jacket & Slacks EXCELLENT CONDITION

  

Make sure you check out my other auctions! This is a VERY COOL offering! It consists of an original Blatz beer deliveryman uniform jacket and slacks/trousers from back in the day! These are in VERY nice shape. Guys were obviously smaller back in the day and these pieces prove that point since they are smaller in size.

As you can see in the photos, this was part of "Marvin G's" uniform, as evidenced by his name being embroidered on the front of the jacket opposite the Blatz beer triangle logo patch, as well as inside the waistband of the slacks. A very cool detail that gives providence to these being original uniform pieces.

As mentioned, the front side of the jacket has the embroidered name on one side with a small sized Blatz logo patch on the other, along with a large Blatz logo patch on the back. The jacket is a mix of polyester and wool and is in excellent, near mint condition. The inside collar tag indicates it is 45% wool and 55% dacron and belonged to, you guessed it, Marv Groth. It also has some other number codes with an "E38" so I'm guessing this jacket is a size 38. Another inside tag confirms it, too, was from Hart Uniforms in Columbus, Ohio.

The slacks also have Marvin G. They also have the Hart Uniform tag inside and indicate they are 50% wool, 50% dacron polyester.

It looks like the pants are sized 38/29. The jacket is in excellent, near mint condition. The slacks are also in excellent shape, showing only MINOR staining on the inside, mostly along the waistband. But those small imperfections are far from bad, as the photo shows. I didn't look over every square inch but I don't see any tears or rips to mention. If there are imperfections, they are minor. What GREAT pieces of Americana!

It's amazing that these have stayed in this condition after all these years! I'm sure if you look at these real close you will find a minor flaw or two, but you'll need to look very close! Displayed on a mannequin, these would look outstanding! But why just display them? If they will fit you, wear them to your favorite tavern or beer show and collector events.
