Patent 1877 Original New Creedmoor Iron Mechanical Bank, Excellent Condition    Patent 1877 Original New Creedmoor Iron Mechanical Bank, Excellent Condition
An excellent condition all original cast iron "New Creedmoor" mechanical bank. The "New Creedmoor" name refers to the design of the bank. Basically, the design was derived by the Stevens Co. By modifying the standard Creedmoor base to accomidate using the William Tell figure. The base on this scarcer version of the Creedmoor is slightly longer base than the standard Creedmoor & weighs a bit more than the standard Creedmoor because of the larger figure on this version. This bank was patented on November 6, 1877 & was designed by James H.

The bank was made by the J. The bank measures 10 3/16 inches long by 6 3/4 inches tall by 2 3/4 inches across the widest part of the base.

The weight of the bank is 3 pounds & 2.5 ounces. This popular & appealing mechanical bank was produced by the J. From 1877 (or so) in to the 1920's. The example we are offering in this listing is guaranteed to be 100% original & complete & in working condition.

There are no breaks to the iron, no chips, no cracks, no repairs, & no touch-ups to the paint. The bank even has the guaranteed original coin trap on the bottom which is usually replaced or missing. The paint shows minor wear from use. But, the major majority of the original paint is still present.

The paint is entirely original in all respects & has a pleasing natural patina from age. The bank has never been cleaned or tampered with in any way. An exceptionally pleasing example of this classic design by one of the top mechanical bank designers of all time. This item is inventory #10412.
