Vintage American Character 19 Bride Doll, All Original Excellent Condition

  

This is a beautiful American Character 19 Bride Doll that my parents gave me for Christmas in the late 50's. The body is in perfect condition and she wears her original clothes which include a satin underskirt covered by a soft tulle and lace trimmed skirt and shorter tulle and lace, waist coverlet. The bodice is lace with a Queen Anne neckline which frames a pearl necklace and has elbow length lace sleeves. She also sports a decorative net slip, underpants, bra, seamed nylon stockings and pearly colored ankle strap heels.

She wears a 3/4 length veil of tulle trimmed in lace. She has dangle earrings and I think she used to have a little tiara comb on top of her head.

The clothes are not discolored and don't have any stains. Her head turns and arms and legs are tight and move and pose properly. She has been lovingly cared for and displayed under glass in a non-smoking home. The makeup is as perfect as the day I received her, as is her hair style with no missing or loose hair. The elastic on the bra, shoes, and slip have stretched over time.

There is one area where the lace has detached from the overskirt that can be sewn back(see picture). There is one small tear in the tulle at the waist which is not readily visible. This is a beautiful doll. Look closely at the pictures as they are part of the items description.
