WESTMARK 702 Vintage knife with original sheath Excellent condition
This is a vintage WESTMARK "Model 702" fixed blade knife made by Western Cutlery with the original leather sheath. The WESTMARK Model 702 was designed for "Outdoorsmen" with a multi-purpose blade. The overall length of the knife is 9 ½, and is very well balanced. The blade is made from high carbon, rust-resistant, steel and measures 5 in length.
The ¾ tang is stamped with: WESTMARK U. 702 on one side and the serial # 12969 on the other.
It has a brass guard and an aluminum pommel. The handle is rosewood, and is secured with two brass pins. It has a molded original all-leather sheath made of thick top steer hide.
The back of the sheath is embossed: WESTMARK U. The Model 702 is the hard one to find, especially in great condition. I'm the original owner and I've had it and used it spaningly for the past 51 years.
